Ohio University Requirements

Get Started

Visit schools.guildeducation.com for additional information about the application and enrollment process. This page highlights steps unique for students with educational experience from outside of the US.

For programs other than RN-BSN, Ohio University requires applicants to evaluate their documents through a NACES agency (naces.org/members). We recommend ordering your documents through SpanTran, a NACES agency, and have partnered with them to offer Guild students a discount. Click here to apply for an evaluation through SpanTran.

Applicants who have completed a nursing diploma, degree, or equivalent from a foreign institution need to provide an academic course-by-course evaluation from CGFNS Credential Evaluation Service.

For international credits, please review Ohio University’s policy for international transcripts at:

ohio.edu/admissions/international/apply.

NOTE: Ohio University may require that you take an English Proficiency exam (TOEFL, IELTS, DuoLingo, etc.).

Step 1

Complete your Guild application

It may take up to 7-10 business days to see if you’ve been approved.

Step 2

Shortly after your Guild application is approved, Ohio University will reach out to you about your next steps. This is a great time to let them know you have educational experience outside of the US, so they can advise you appropriately.

Step 3

Ohio University requires a course-by-course evaluation from a member of NACES. We recommend ordering your documents through SpanTran, a NACES agency, and have partnered with them to offer Guild students a discount. Click here to apply for an evaluation through SpanTran.
