Valencia College Requirements
Get Started
Visit schools.guildeducation.com for additional information about the application and enrollment process. This page highlights steps unique for students with educational experience from outside of the US.
Valencia College requires applicants to evaluate their documents through a NACES agency (naces.org/members). We recommend ordering your documents through SpanTran, a NACES agency, and have partnered with them to offer Guild members a discount. Click here to apply for a credential evaluation through SpanTran.
NOTE: Valencia College may require that you take an English Proficiency exam (TOEFL, IELTS, DuoLingo, etc.)
Step 1
Complete your Guild application
It may take up to 7-10 business days to see if you’ve been approved. Shortly after your Guild application is approved, you will receive an email with links and next steps for completing your Valencia application. This is a great time to reach out to Valencia to let them know you have educational experience from outside of the United States so they can advise you appropriately.
Step 2
Request your transcripts – Contact ALL previous institutions you've attended to request your transcripts. There are different requirements depending on your level of education included below:
Completed high school:
Valencia College will evaluate your original copy of High School transcripts, an evaluation is typically not required.
Completed some/all college:
If you completed college credits at a university outside of the U.S., you will need to get an evaluation of those transcripts. Valencia only accepts evaluations from NACES members.
If you plan on transferring to UCF, we encourage you to get your evaluation from either: Josef Silny & Associates or World Education Services (WES).
